It is the curse of technology and, most recently, AI. People are getting lazy and more tech-dependent to the extent that specific software decides the fates of competent people and great employees by auto-rejecting their applications. This tech game in recruitment is unfair as it gives preference to those whose CVs/resumes look good only on paper and discriminates against those who are great employees but do not showcase their skills and experiences that well on paper. It is a new game that all jobseekers must learn, or perhaps AI "should never replace human judgment," at least in the recruitment realm. Application tracking system is not yet fool proof. Human intervention is highly recommended.

I have 3 very simple pleas from #hr and people/companies that are #hiring . 1. Dont put all your trust on just AI or Machines rejecting CVs . They are not 100% accurate and also a lot of times, candidates mainpotentially be amazing but their resume is not structured correctly. 2. Remove the criteria of completing a bachelors degree. It is an outdated format of validating someone, besides schools nowadays teach us very little things of value. 3. Give every candidate a fair chance, regardless of their inexperience on their resume or stuff like that, you have no idea what you might potentially end up missing. Additionally give every applicant a response whether its positive or negative. Dont leave them hanging, it is stressing mentally enough as it is finding a job in todays market. There have been so many missed opportunities thanks to outdated and sh***y systems. Is AI the first technology to have a tangible, adverse impact on the human experience? The lack of nuance is one of the more obvious deficiencies of this technology. However, its rapid adoption, in particular in a realm like human resources, is alarming. How much damage will this technology, still very much in its beta stage, adversely impact society, before it's refined to at least 65% functionality of a human? Remember, Artificial Intelligence and automation are mutually exclusive concepts, even if the processing is exponentially faster than that of a human. Great post!
