#ChildrensMentalHealthWeek - In 2023, 20% of children and young people in England had a probable mental health disorder. There is a growing demand for support and a need for innovation in children and young people's mental health services, and the?I-DIGIT?Study, led by Norfolk and Suffolk NHS Foundation Trust, Health Innovation East and funded by NIHR (National Institute for Health and Care Research), investigated if digital health technologies are a potential solution. The study involved a real-world evaluation of Lumi Nova, a game-based digital therapy developed by BfB Labs, which aims to reduce anxiety symptoms in 7-12-year-olds. The study team recently won an award for 'outstanding contribution to population health through innovation' at the annual Innovate Awards. What if we could address health and well-being from other perspectives besides that of illness? In honor of Social Prescribing Day on March 14, I attended a panel discussion with leaders in this movement. Social prescribing is a movement towards improving health by connecting patients with social resources within their communities to address a range of health conditions related to mental health, depression and loneliness. These resources can include interventions based in art, movement, nature and social connection. It's a growing field that already takes place in 30 countries and is making its way in the United States, thanks to these leaders. ?? Daniel Morse, Managing Director of Social Prescribing USA ?? #OptimiseRx is now available in a wide range of extended care settings via TPP SystmOne, including Community Services, Community Hospital, MIU, and Mental Health. This expansion, following a successful 6-month trial, has shown a promising 33% acceptance rate for Best Practice & Safety messages and a 46% acceptance rate for Cost Savings messages.
