#MR2V Capacity Update: Now accepting referrals for Positive Behaviour Support! Within our PBS team, we address challenging behaviours that affect individuals' quality of life a little differently compared to some providers: Our PBS services focus on: ? A person-centred approach integrated with a Human Rights lens ? A System Change approach focusing on changing the things around the person, not the person ? An evidence-informed practice where improved quality of life is not based on opinion Using these primary focus points in our practice helps those in need. We often say that the CO APCD is one of a kind. But what exactly sets it apart from other APCDs? How familiar are you with the APCD movement? APCD Trivia Day 1: APCDs are truly a national movement! While Colorado was one of the earliest states to establish an APCD, efforts are expanding quickly all across the country. How many states do you think currently have an operating APCD? Answer: In addition to the 23 states with operating APCDs, two states – Nevada and Indiana – are actively implementing an APCD. At least 10 other states have expressed a serious interest in implementing an APCD, while another 5 states have existing voluntary claims data submission efforts.?

Our trust featured on ITV Calendar news last week, discussing our innovative approach to flexible working which aims to give all teachers at Dixons a nine-day fortnight, starting in the new academic year. For the segment, which aired on Tuesday 16 April, ITV spoke to teachers at Dixons Allerton Academy in Bradford to find out more about what this change will mean for them. 40,000 teachers resigned from state schools in 2023, which is almost 9% of the teaching workforce – we know that there is a recruitment and retention crisis in this sector and a radical shift is needed. In line with our deep commitment to self-determination, we want to give our teachers more agency over their roles by offering a flexible working plan that will give them time back and provide some of the flexibility that is abundant in other sectors. NEW APPLICATION: The ERC has launched the application form for Community of Practice (CoP). We know the key to successful ERPO implementation is having a champion in a jurisdiction proficient in implementation and who believes in their potential to improve community safety.? ? Our CoP will?bring together implementers, particularly Byrne SCIP grantees, including law enforcement, prosecutors, attorneys, judges, clinicians, and reps from victim services agencies, community organizations, and behavioral health & social services providers in jurisdictions with ERPOs to share implementation approaches, respond to challenges, identify and develop resources, including peer-to-peer learning.? ? Back in February, Emily submitted a Change of Situation (COS) for a client she had been working with for a long time. Planning for the inevitable - the fact that the change of plan was not going come through in time - Em partnered with the Hospital Liaison Officer (HLO). Within two days, she secured funding renewal, preventing unnecessary hospitalisation. This is a HUGE win - Em delivered RESULTS and epitomised working with what you have, not focusing on what you don't. ? Emily and Mez exemplify our team's spirit, never giving up and always fighting for our participants' rights. Intensive Permanence Services (IPS) is a unique model that provides weekly training and support for IPS managers, supervisors, and specialists, and prepares agencies to sustain the model with fidelity long after the training program is completed. Additionally, Alia IPS staff has helped train caregivers, worked alongside agencies to create change in RTC visitation protocols, and created mindset shifts with hundreds of individuals connected to our youth.
