?? Work, Joy, Repeat – Holiday Edition! ?? As the year comes to a close, I can’t help but reflect on how fortunate I am to be part of a team as amazing as Stolt. Sure, we work hard (very hard!), but we also know the secret to thriving as a team: bringing positive energy, good vibes, and a sense of humor to everything we do. And sometimes, that means pausing to create moments of pure joy—holiday-themed or otherwise—that remind us of the power of connection. ?? (Yes, that’s us in action—don’t miss the video!) We all know the workplace can be demanding. Deadlines and challenges are often outside our control, but what’s always within our control is how we show up: with kindness, a team-first attitude, and the intention to build an environment where everyone feels welcomed, valued, and supported. Looking back on an incredible year filled with milestones and teamwork, I’m so proud of what we’ve achieved together. A huge shoutout to our team and leadership for creating a space where success and joy coexist—and where we’re motivated to do even more in the year ahead! Here’s to a fantastic 2024 filled with growth, wins, and plenty of moments that make us smile. Wishing you all a holiday season full of happiness, laughter, and maybe a few dance moves. ???? #HolidayCheer #Teamwork #WorkplaceCulture #ThankfulAndMotivated #PositiveWorkCulture

Cultural holidays can be a lonely time for newly-arrived expats – especially in a work environment. "Think about your favourite holiday," writes career coach Katia L.. "Now imagine if no one around you celebrated it. No decorations, no special meals, no shared excitement. It's hard to feel like you belong in that moment." Fostering a sense of belonging doesn't have to be over-engineered or HR-driven, says Lysionak. Simple things can go a long way, such as a shared team calendar which includes everyone's favourite holiday. Lysionak says 'lunch and learn' sessions, "where anyone who felt like it could share traditions from their home and favourite holiday recipes", are also a great way to help expats feel included. ...because no one should be left behind without the appropriate seasonal cheer ?? ?? ?? ?? ?? ?? I remember my first New Year's Eve celebration away from home. It was 2003, and I was a foreign exchange student in the US. I found myself all alone on the living room sofa, watching fireworks on TV, while my host family slept. That was the loneliest, most isolating moment I'd ever experienced in my 16 years of life. Being an expat around the holidays is still a tad extra hard for me, even 20 years later. And for those experiencing their first years after relocating, be warned – culture shock and the blues hit extra hard around holidays. Think about your favorite holiday. Now imagine if no one around you celebrated it. No decorations, no special meals, no shared excitement. It's hard to feel like you belong in that moment. As a team lead managing a diverse group, we did some fun, simple things to ensure nobody felt left out during the holiday season: ?? We created a shared holiday calendar and invited the team to add their most important celebrations. ??We organized "lunch and learns" where anyone who felt like it could share traditions from their home and favorite holiday recipes (always a great conversation starter!). ??We collaborated with our kitchen staff to plan for traditional meals around the celebrations! Belonging doesn't have to be over-engineered, HR-driven initiatives. You can simply ask at your next team meeting, ??"How do we make sure the holiday season is inclusive of all our backgrounds?" #teamcoaching and let the team find what resonates with them, with shared responsibility and accountability. Belonging isn't something a manager or HR can single-handedly solve. Being an expat can sometimes feel isolating, especially in a new work environment. What specific things did your team or colleagues do that made you feel truly welcome and like you belonged? #belonging #teamcoaching #inclusiveholidays #expatlife P.S. Me celebrating Midsummer night all by myself in my local Dublin park :) A win is a win!

Planned the perfect vacation—beach mornings, culture-filled evenings, no work interruptions. But as an agency founder, you’re never truly on leave: - Campaign approvals. - Ad hiccups. - Last-minute pitches. Cue me working by the pool, coffee in hand. ??? The lesson? Balance is key: 1?? Set client boundaries. 2?? Delegate smartly. 3?? Accept a little work on the go. Fellow founders, how do you manage “unplugging”? ???? #FounderLife #TravelDiaries #AgencyLife
