As we prepare to welcome spring, please remember that annual Tier II reports for facilities that are covered under the federal Emergency Planning and Community Right-to-Know Act (EPCRA) are due on March 1, 2024, for reporting year 2023. EPCRA is a federal law that protects local community residents and first responders from exposure to hazardous materials. Every year on March 1st, Massachusetts facilities covered under EPCRA must submit their Tier II report for the previous calendar year to their Local or Regional Emergency Planning Committee (LEPC/REPC), their Local Fire Department, and the Massachusetts State Emergency Response Commission (SERC).
