In my experience, employers in the audio-visual industry often have three main concerns when hiring salespeople and business development professionals. These concerns typically revolve around the candidate's ability to: 1) Understand the technical aspects of the industry. 2) Their sales experience and track record, 3) Their communication and interpersonal skills. Candidates must demonstrate a strong understanding of audiovisual technology, proven success in sales roles, and the ability to communicate effectively with clients and colleagues. Addressing these concerns in your resume and in your first interview can increase job seekers' chances of success in securing a position in this competitive industry.
