Fellow #water?#science?peeps and anyone working in the water sector: what are the most important topics in water science/resource management that students today need to learn for the future?? I'm designing a second year water science unit and want to create a modern and topically relevant course. To start, I'm thinking the increasing reliance on artificial aquatic ecosystems, pressure of climate change, & managing polluted waters. Thoughts?

While working on their certificates, our students have the opportunity to conduct hands-on projects that use GIS technology to examine and understand real world problems. In the Fall 2022 semester, one of our teams of students, Erin Hall & Jeanette Moritz, delved into how climate change impacts the pollen viability of Antirrhinum vexycilocultum in Northern California. With changing moisture, temperature, and wind speeds, understanding plant resilience is crucial for our ecosystem and food supply. Watch the video to learn more about how these environmental factors affect vital plant life and their adaptive strategies. #ClimateChange #PlantScience #Biodiversity #PollenResearch #GIS #USFCA #MSEM ???
