Combining #healthcaredata with #consumerdata to address #stakeholder #education about #SDOH and ways in which we can all collaborate to improve #wholehealth with #QI and #DEI initiatives using #DTx will effectively improve #HealthcareDelivery ??
As I prepare for our next Health Care Transformation program Harvard Medical School Corporate Learning, I’ve been reflecting on the type of change healthcare needs today. I believe the path to improving healthcare comes down to three key elements: compassion, collaboration, and innovation. Compassion connects to the heart of care, collaboration unites our pursuit of quality, and innovation sparks breakthroughs for the future of care. The challenge lies in consistently embedding them into our strategies and actions. I’m looking forward to advancing this conversation and working with others to lead healthcare toward a brighter future. #healthcare #leadership #transformation

Why Purpose-Driven Leadership is Key in Public Health In public health and medicine, it's not enough to just "do." We must ask why we do what we do. As a public health physician, I've seen firsthand how clarity of purpose drives sustainable impact. Simon Sinek speaks to the power of purpose, and Daniel Pink outlines the importance of autonomy and mastery. Together, they provide a leadership framework that healthcare professionals can use to inspire individual and collective action. The "Why" Behind Healthcare Why do we pursue the work we do? In healthcare, it’s about improving lives, reducing suffering, and creating systems that support public health. Purpose allows us to navigate the complexities of our field and focus on what truly matters. Autonomy: The Fuel for Consistency Once we’re clear on our purpose, we must act consistently. This is where autonomy—one of Pink’s core motivators—comes in. Healthcare professionals thrive when they have the freedom to design solutions that fit both their expertise and the needs of their communities. Mastery: The Discipline of Continuous Improvement How we implement solutions matters just as much. Mastery, or the drive to continually improve, is essential in healthcare. Whether it’s honing clinical skills or improving systems, our pursuit of mastery directly impacts the quality of care. Purpose-Driven Leadership Integrating purpose, autonomy, and mastery creates a leadership model that is sustainable and adaptable, keeping us focused on the mission while empowering others to achieve excellence. #PublicHealthLeadership #HealthcareInnovation #PurposeDriven #LeadershipInHealthcare #ContinuousImprovement #HealthSystems #AutonomyInHealthcare #MasteryInMedicine #PublicHealthMatters #SustainableHealthcare Happy to hear any comments

A very critical issue and viewpoint I strongly agree with. The vitally important intersection of clinical leadership (physician) with business leadership-yielding solutions that best serve the patients, the private practice of medicine, and the practitioners-and best prepares for vitality and sustainability into the future! Time to revisit Dyad leadership…
There’s been a lot of talk over the past few years about the need to bring clinicians into the C-suite — and for good reason. Clinicians who serve in leadership positions report higher levels of job satisfaction, and their hospitals benefit from increased patient satisfaction (though the data on quality of care is murkier.) While the number of physicians in CEO roles has barely budged over the past decade, holding steady at around 5%, a greater number of hospitals and health systems are bringing doctors and nurses into other top leadership roles. It’s perhaps unsurprising then that the theme of physician leadership is front and center this week at the American College of Healthcare Executives’ annual meeting. Clinician leadership is always a hot topic on LinkedIn. So let’s talk about it this week. What opportunities exist for clinicians interested in leadership positions? What’s the best way to transition into leadership from a clinical role? And how can health systems encourage clinicians to take advantage of those opportunities? Our CommonHealth ACTION team spent an amazing day with one of our large-system #healthcare clients. This is our master trainer and curriculum manager, @MarkCervero, training their C-suite using our Foundations of EDI and Health Equity curriculum. They started two weeks ago with five to six hours of online coursework (that they absolutely loved!) and yesterday we spent five in-person hours facilitating the team to connect deeply on topics of social identity; common language for EDI; experiences of privilege/oppression/social advantage/social disadvantage; historical context for present day inequities; and implications for the #healthcare workplace. REFLECTION: Healthcare leaders want and need space to explore these complex topics, understand how it all connects to their leadership, recognize the implications for health outcomes, and embrace that this is a long-term, challenging journey that requires grace, commitment, discomfort, and explorations of their own identities and lived experiences. That means that a generalized EDI curriculum is not enough—that’s why our approach is different and effective. We create #perspectivetransformation. To learn more about how we can support your #healthcare and #publichealth leaders on their #EDI / #DEI and #healthequity journey, visit: https://lnkd.in/eSyfgDsY or email: [email protected]. #healthcareequity
