Who else struggles without a deadline? ??♀? Honestly, I know I do! It's not so easy for me to get things done if there’s no deadline or immediate impact. A perfect example? It took years from the time I decided I wanted my PMP certification to the moment I actually got it. But the preparation itself took just 4 months! And I had even more examples, especially when I was younger ?Tomorrow’s the exam, and you’re spending the night preparing? Been there. ?Tomorrow’s the deadline for your presentation, and you’re still making last-minute changes? Yep, that too. Who else has been through that? ?? Thankfully, I’ve learned to manage this over time, and my favorite tips are: ?Break things down into small, doable steps ?Set mini deadlines (because, let’s face it, it works) ?Create a to-do list and enjoy that feeling of crossing things off! But there's another technique I love - turn it into a challenge! Share your goals with colleagues, make it a fun competition, or even set a prize for achieving it! ?? And on that note, here’s my next challenge! With AI being such a huge focus this year, and Salesforce offering free AI Associate and AI Specialist certifications, it’s the perfect time to level up. I wanted to hop on the #Salesforce AI train too. But my goal was to keep aside the hype and focus on the Material. → Einstein Copilot → Dynamic Grounding → Low-Code Customization The Gist .... An #agent (think of it as a $2 per conversation helper) can handle all those repetitive tasks for you—just ask in plain English, and it gets things done! But first, you need to give the helper clear instructions by → Keep it simple → Give clear steps → Also, give access to real data. → Use an automation tool when needed → Adjust response based on feedback The end goal: How you go about doing it is what this exam is all about. RevOps Community, can I ask a favor? Can we decide on a common definition of what RevOps is? It's becoming increasingly difficult to set standards and expectations and coach peers interacting with the function. This is not a criticism, but an invitation to educate and inform. In my research, almost every article implies that it's a framework or something to implement as part of the process. Which leads me to ask the questions: 1?? Why do we see RevOps teams? 2?? Why do these teams own execution? From my perspective (as an engineer and leader), if it's a framework, we would see coaches to help implement and inform. These teams wouldn't own functions, but be there to guide best practices. The same way we see in Agile (and yes there's faults there too!). So why do RevOps teams tend to own technology or other teams? Is it a misappropriation of the term? A lack of standardization? I'm genuinely curious, because in my travels the lack of common definition has led to a lot of confusion. This week's #RevOps bootcamp from HubSpot Academy discussed turning current state process maps into future state process maps. Connor Jeffers returned from his world #HubSpot tour and talked about how to identify areas of improvement in the current state of the process. Some of the areas to investigate are where there is/are: ? Non shared KPIs or conflicting incentives (silos) ?Missing information? ?Lack of defined processes, everyone doing things in a different way ?People are annoyed upstream or downstream in a process? ?Manual handoff, no accountability feedback loop ?Too many tools that do the same thing and/or don’t integrate ?Customer churn or negative feedback ?People don’t know who is responsible for executing the process ?Manual inefficient processes that could be automated ?Processes that can’t be reported on or measured ?Processes that happen in other systems and tools without syncing ?People don’t trust the data representing this process (Every leader doing reporting/forecasting using different data and systems) ?Different team members having to repeat the same work What would you add? + Thanks to Jacque Turbett for amazing production work in class!! ?? #Revenueoperations #processmapping #documentation #processimprovement #processmap
