Event Highlights ?- 10-minute Ice breaker to get everyone started to network. - Inspiring Guest Speakers: Hear from passionate NDIS providers sharing their expertise and success stories. - Networking Opportunities: Connect with like-minded providers, participants, and families in a relaxed setting. - Mix-and-Mingle Format: Engage in meaningful conversations and learn about services that make a difference. ?? Calling All Speakers and Sponsors! We are looking for 2-3 guest speakers and event sponsors to help make this event impactful. - Speakers: Share your story, services, and tips for supporting participants and families. - Sponsors: Gain visibility and show your commitment to the NDIS community by supporting this event. ??? How do innovative communities happen? One way is through ideas inspired at the National Innovative Communities Conference, which will be held for the 14th year here in the Inland Empire. In 2011, the city founders of Jurupa Valley attended our conference and left brimming with ideas to create a city that wasn’t just a place people were “from.” They wanted to integrate community and art, emotional and physical well-being, along with a unifying sense of pride in ownership. And from that inspiration, the first Healthy City in the Inland Empire was born. In 2011, the city founders of Jurupa Valley attended our conference and left brimming with ideas to create a city that wasn’t just a place people were “from.” They wanted to integrate community and art, emotional and physical well-being, along with a unifying sense of pride in ownership. And from that inspiration, the first Healthy City in the Inland Empire was born. To this day, Healthy Jurupa Valley continues to embrace strategies and actions taken directly from the world's healthiest communities, places where people tend to live up to a hundred and suffer fewer chronic diseases. What kinds of things have they implemented that have shown real impacts? ? The Gardens and Markets team provides increased access to healthy food by connecting our community to food’s earthy origin. ? Team CREATE Inspires, develops, and enhances equitable opportunities that unify the communities of Jurupa Valley through artistic, creative, and recreational activities. ? The Community Prosperity Team builds a supportive and viable environment for business and entrepreneurship and building strength and prosperity in families. ? The Safety and Readiness Team engages the community with resources, education, and information on safety and emergency preparedness. ? Jurupa Youth United strives to build healthy and equitable communities through purposeful social advocacy and community engagement. ? Jurupa Valley Leaders in Action equips Jurupa Valley community members with the knowledge and resources available in their communities. Today, for the #PhDOverview campaign, we have our PhD Candidate Marc-Antoine Pigeon MD, FRCPC, OStJ, studying a more comprehensive and pragmatic definition of Health and Safety planning for Mass Gatherings. “Mass gatherings often regroup thousands of participants and are part of every major city’s social landscape, but they represent major challenges, notably for health and safety of participants. Tools specifically designed to help this planning provide various results and often prove not to be enough. Through reviews of existing literature and a delphi study including experts from many areas related to mass gatherings, I hope to formulate recommendations and guidelines to help prioritizing the very broad and various aspects encompassed in health and safety planning for mass gatherings, including sport, cultural, religious events and various festivals.“ ??
