Yuliia Tkachova is one of my best friends, so when your best friend invites you to the show she hosts with another great friend, Scott Hirleman, it’s tough to make a call… When I am invited on shows, I do that with people I respect, but who are rarely as close as those two. You could say the invitation is favoritism, almost nepotism, but it’s not! You have to be the best of yourself and, because they’re your friends, you’re very sincere, candid, and direct. How do you actually make #datacontracts work? ?? I'm a big skeptic of that field, but I have a very dear friend who is very passionate about data contracts – Jean-Georges Perrin. His journey with data contracts started at PayPal, where he championed and worked on the open-source data contracts listed by PayPal. He took it to the next level, and now he oversees the Open Data Contract Standard—Bitol, which is part of The Linux Foundation. JGP often says we give shit to each other ?? , which for me means asking very practical questions about how to make data contracts work, from implementation to creating a paradigm where everyone in the organization is involved and accountable. Below is a tiny preview of our conversation and how JGP sees the data contract adoption, which makes much sense to me.
