It’s quite common receiving enquiries from Biomedical graduates and Job seekers related to career and academics in LinkedIn as well as in personal number. I would like to share few of my suggestions for newbies and job seekers in LinkedIn. Hope it will be helpful for freshers and job seekers to make use of social media platforms for a better career. First and utmost important, Please do respect others time and convenience. I had to tell this because nobody is going to help you if you are approaching people in their busy time. Make sure you are sending a message/ calling on a convenient time. Introduce yourself before directly get into your enquiry and purpose of the message or call. I have seen people calling and directly asking questions even without introducing or asking whether we are free for a talk. Avoid sending just “Hi, Hello, etc”. Make it clear the purpose of your message, don’t expect people replying to it and ask "what you are looking for". Think of the situation when people see this everyday. Even if someone can help you, they may ignore it by seeing just a Hi or Hello unless they are fully free for a chat.? Try to get engage with people in LinkedIn or other social media platforms before seeking their help, so it will be easy for them to recognise you and it will increase the possibility to reply for your enquiries and provide guidance. It can be just like / comment to their posts.? Agree?
