Now, envision that becoming a reality sooner than you think. With major partnerships like the one between Tesla and BWH Hotels, we're speeding towards that future at an electrifying pace. Starting in 2024, select BWH Hotels across North America will become more than just a place to rest; they'll be key nodes in a growing network of EV charging infrastructure. This initiative not only makes travel with electric vehicles more convenient but also marks a significant step forward in our collective sustainability journey. Through collaborations like these, we're not just promising a greener future—we're actively building it. It's a testament to how corporate partnerships can pave the way for meaningful environmental progress and enhance our daily lives. The road ahead is electrifyingly exciting!

I think I have the most fun job in the EV world at the moment, working together with enthusiasts and experts from all over the world finding ways to accelerate the EV uptake. Using our small market in Norway as a laboratory for the rest of the world, we aim to cause some ripple effect outside our borders. The success in Norway has been built on a foundation of EU supply side policies towards the automotive industry combined with a package of consumer-friendly demand side policies implemented by the Norwegian government. But the national policies didn’t come out off nothing. EV drivers’ voice can be a force for change when organized, and that’s what we are working towards in this project. Here’s a small update from last month, when our team had some friends over. Partners from Brazil, Chile, Mexico, India and South Africa came together for a week of sharing best practices, learning from each other and not least planning for cooperation across borders in the years ahead. ?? Bremen is piloting the first step towards a city-wide network of shared electric vehicles ?? How can a city reduce carbon emissions, air pollution, and private car reliance all in one go? Fleets of shared electric vehicles is one option being explored by the city of Bremen in COPPER. They aim to answer a big question for European cities aiming for sustainable electric mobility: As shared EVs are moved and charged in different places across the day, how can cities and DSOs ensure local grids can support the additional strain? Working closely with cambio CarSharing Deutschland and local DSO Wesernetz, Bremen will install and monitor charging infrastructure for a pilot fleet of electric vehicles.? The municipality will collect data on the local grid and mobility patterns, helping them create one of Europe’s first mobility-centred Local Energy Action Plans (LEAP). Their LEAP will support them with decisionmaking for any future plans to take electric shared mobility city-wide. Electric vehicle usage is not limited to private car owners. Upgrading to electric buses, taxis and corporate fleets is underway in many cities worldwide, paving the way to better air quality and less noise. Fleets no longer require petrol station facilities but do require depot charging stations or Park and Charge spaces with reliable connections to the power grid. Ideally, when charging stations are powered by renewable energy, e-mobility vehicles reduce local noise and air pollution and contribute to decarbonising the whole transport sector. Over the last two decades, Dornier has advised government agencies on fleet electrification and charging infrastructure implementation despite different e-mobility standards across countries and regions.
