I am surprised and shocked (but not really) that this project even mentions a new base area (despite still not being able to staff 60%+ of needed staff now) that includes restaurants, bars, and shops et al...seriously? The article mentions at the very end "some employee housing"...really? Essentially no housing, out-of-control cost of living/housing (for what is there), can't staff 100% now but building more infrastructure, benefits are being cut for employees, and to make it all worse now you want to add more infrastructure with little employee housing and outsource critical roles like HR, IT et al...SERIOUSLY? What the h*#* are you all thinking? Wow guys, do better!!!

We are so excited to see the Royalton Hotel listed in the National Register of Historic Places, and to see the "Residential Hotels in Chicago 1910-1930" National Register Multiple Property Documentation (MPD) we prepared back in 2015-2016 put into action! It was once nearly impossible to get any of Chicago's many historic apartment hotels listed in the National Register, a requirement for seeking federal and state historic rehabilitation tax credits. Ramsey Historic Consultants, Inc. prepared the Residential Hotels in Chicago MPD which was approved by the National Park Service in 2016. This MPD now makes it easier for the National Park Service to recognize this historic Chicago building type and to renovate these historic apartment hotels using federal and state HTCs. #ramseyhistoric #historictaxcredits #historicpreservation
