This is the right move from Meta. OSM US is doing *so much* trailblazing work while maintaining a very lean org. Is your org using OSM data? You should following suit at a level that makes sense for you. Whether you rely specifically on U.S. data doesn't really matter. A lot of the work OSM US does benefits the OSM project as a whole.

Curious to see how this open platform approach from Meta may affect #VR and #AR equipment in the coming years. Aside from trying and demonstrating a lot of different hardware, I've mostly stayed away from the development of it. My focus has been on software and cloud services development, some content, and a lot of testing and implementation. My understanding has been that most #AugmentedReality and #VirtualReality hardware has built off Android Operating System.
