Two Harvard students created a demo on how to use Meta's smart glasses to dox people in real time. Now, that is never a good thing. For those that don't know, "Doxxing" someone means to "search for and publish private or identifying information about (a particular individual) on the internet, typically with malicious intent." Luckily, the two college students stated they will not release the method to do this. Basically, this method included looking at someone through the smart glasses, while streaming it live on Instagram, an AI bot would monitor this live stream, and then search facial imaging online to find the person. There is a bit more to this, but that is the method in simple terms. Pretty wild stuff! There are a few ways to search images online, here are a few references to have handy for all you investigators out there. Of note, I have noticed in my investigations with Convoy Group it is a bit hit or miss: - PimEyes (Reverse Image Search) - TinEye (Reverse Image Search) - FaceCheck (Reverse Image Search) - Geospy (AI Geolocation tool) - Bing Image Search (More of a location tool, but works for reverse images as well) - Google Image Search (same as Bing) Those are the ones I use when I try and find people or locations through an image.
