After the initial space planning is developed in the Schematic Design phase, we pivot to the Design Development phase, where we begin to 3D model. Swipe back and forth between the front and rear portion of the Logan Radius Addition project, where we illustrated some of the elements that contribute to the overall design: (1) A central volume is located between the living room and dining room with two floor-to-ceiling pocket doors that quickly transforms the living room into a guest bedroom with ensuite bathroom, (2) New open web trusses span the width of the masonry building in order to create a large, uninterrupted space for the dining room, family room and kitchen, (3) The rear addition has two separate entrances to the rear deck in order to conceal the functional and sometimes unsightly mud room and pantry from the light-filled sun room with a large format slider facing east to welcome the morning sun.?Learn more about this project through the link below. https://lnkd.in/e4nxJRyN .? .? . ? #architecture #chicago #34ten #chicagoarchitect #chicagoarchitecture #architecturelovers #architecturehunter #residentialdesign #modernism #modernarchitecture #logansquare? #loganradiusaddition #adudesign #accessorydwellingunit #ADU
