Excellent, practical article addressing what is an ongoing issue for nearly every fraternal board of directors--"What do we do with ___(board member)? Ignore, attempt to defuse or endure until the next election?" Key points: Problematic board members don't "go away". Take the time to address the issues. Reduce the opportunities for that board member to control or dominate discussions. Set an example. And understand the inherent value of a strong board culture that encourages open, respectful discussion.
