An apparel piece is made from several other pieces, made through different processes. The total sustainability of the garment can be calculated only if all the raw, semi raw and the finished materials processes are checked, the logistics process is analysed, the lifetime ,repair &reuse chance is considered and after lifetime cycle is planned .The traditional thinking of : “If I use recycled PES on my garment, I will be a sustainable factory or brand " is no longer accepted.. Sustainable product making /designing can not be only on the shoulder of designers.. It is much more complicated than that..
