Where is the role of AI increasing?
Large companies are more bullish on artificial intelligence than smaller businesses, according to LinkedIn's latest Workforce Confidence survey. Just over half of workers at companies with over 1,000 employees have seen the role of AI in their workplace increase in the past year. That's compared to 47% of workers at mid-market companies (201-1,000 employees) and 45% of workers at businesses with fewer than 201 employees — possibly because larger companies have more infrastructure to support new tech initiatives and help employees upskill.
I wonder how many smaller companies were included in the survey. It depends a lot on what the company does. As a small internet retailer, we use it for thought starters on product descriptions, blog posts, and some company research. Periodically, I like to see what it says about my company, competitors and industry. What would be game changer for us is to find an AI solution for producing massive amounts of room settings for wall coverings and murals. Is there even one out there?
