Slack CEO departs Salesforce
Slack co-founder and CEO Stewart Butterfield is leaving parent company Salesforce next month, reports Business Insider, with the company confirming the news to Axios and TechCrunch. Butterfield's departure comes days after Salesforce co-CEO Bret Taylor announced his resignation, leaving Marc Benioff as the company's sole leader. Butterfield said his move "has nothing to do with Bret's departure." Salesforce bought Slack for $28 billion just over two years ago.

- Salesforce recently laid off hundreds of employees; the company could let go up to 2,500 workers in the coming months.
