Salesforce losing its co-CEO
Bret Taylor is stepping down from his post as co-CEO of Salesforce. The move comes "after a lot of reflection," Taylor said in a statement, adding that he wanted to get back to his "entrepreneurial roots." The "surprise" resignation will take effect Jan. 31, just a year after Taylor took on the role. Salesforce co-founder and co-CEO Marc Benioff will become the company's sole leader; it’s the second time in under three years that he loses a co-CEO.
- Salesforce reported quarterly earnings that beat Wall Street's expectations, but its stock fell 6% in extended trading on news of the leadership shake-up.
