Price hikes keep Coke's sales bubbly
Coca-Cola Co. reported third-quarter earnings Tuesday, and they're anything but flat. The soda giant notched over US$11 billion in revenue, beating Wall Street's forecast of $10.5 billion. While the company has raised prices and offered smaller, cheaper portions to combat inflation, it also noted that sales volume is up 4%, showing that customers are still willing to splurge — at least for now. CEO James Quincey said the company is starting to see some customers switch to private-label competitors, especially in Europe.
- Coke now expects organic revenue growth of 14% to 15% for 2022, up from 12% to 13%.
