Oracle begins layoffs in US

So after I've taken a day to process, I'm sad to say I'm joining the many others who's time has come to an end at Oracle.?It's been a great time of professional and personal growth and I'm grateful to all those for the working relationships and most importantly..friendships! As the economy slows down, many big tech companies have warned their employees of corporate downsizing and layoffs. Oracle just had layoffs this morning.

To my fellow LinkedIn friends: It's my last day at Oracle. This is the company where I grew my experience in content and product marketing (starting at NetSuite) for almost 5 years now. I'm seeing my colleague's posts and know I'm not alone in this feeling. I've met some of the most amazingly gifted individuals including my team members in our North American Demand Marketing organization. I want to thank Cara Clinton Vollmer and Katie Fordham for their continued support in my career growth and now... my next chapter. Today, many people within Oracle CX have been blindsided by layoffs. I don’t see how we will ever make any DEI progress here when they still insist on these manoeuvres. Business owners who genuinely care about their employees wouldn’t do this. https://lnkd.in/gQ-h3Kqr

Well guys, as I'm sure you've either heard or will be hearing soon, a bunch of layoffs came down today at Oracle. Unfortunately, despite only starting on May 31st, I was one of those affected. Those are the breaks sometimes, sadly. My heart aches for many going through this today. I've never been through this myself, so it's definitely a new feeling. Regardless, I'm shifting straight into job-finding mode and plan to keep my head up! If you know anyone looking for an experienced solutions consultant/engineer, let me know! ? This morning I was unfortunately impacted by the organizational restructuring and widespread layoffs at Oracle ACX. ? Over the past 14 months, I have been able to learn and grow within my role and the company as well as cultivate incredible relationships amongst my colleagues, managers, and customers. ?
