Oracle begins layoffs in US
Software giant Oracle has begun laying off an unspecified number of U.S. workers in its customer experience division, Bloomberg reports. Chatter about looming cuts had been growing over the last month, with The Information warning that Oracle was mulling "thousands" of job cuts to save up to US$1 billion, mostly affecting workers in the U.S. and Europe. The move comes as Oracle makes deeper investments in cloud technology for health care and prioritizes its cloud business with TikTok.
