OpenAI aims high with 'Strawberry'
OpenAI's newest product could arrive within months. Researchers there are pushing to release the product, code-named Strawberry, as soon as the fall, The Information reports, citing anonymous sources. Strawberry will likely be able to reason through more difficult problems than OpenAI's previous offerings — even tackling subjective topics such as product marketing strategies. OpenAI's business is already booming, with monthly sales revenue tripling since last year, but it's eager to stay ahead of competitors and keep the money coming in. The company has even demonstrated Strawberry to national security officials, a source told the website.
- Also on OpenAI's plate: The development of a new flagship large language model, code-named Orion.
- The company is reportedly using a version of Strawberry "to generate data for training Orion," which could ultimately help OpenAI minimize the "hallucinations," or errors, that its models can produce.

Very interesting. It never occurred to me that AI could be used to generate ‘synthetic’ content to train AI - this is an incredible yet scary idea as the potential for exponential learning/growth is unbound.
