New grads in-demand — and demanding

As a new graduate from New York University's NYU Steinhardt School of Culture, Education, and Human Development Master's in Music Business program, I agree with Lindsay Ellis here that new graduates care deeply about their work responsibilities. This is because a job's responsibilities not only give meaning and purpose to the work you are doing, but graduates want to develop new skills and feel challenged in the workplace. The moment a job gets boring or repetitive, I personally feel is the catalyst to an employee considering switching jobs. I am curious to hear from my network. For those thinking that full-time remote work will be the preferred arrangement for all future graduates, think again. Accordingly to an article in the Wall Street Journal, only 11% want to work remotely on a full-time basis. Employers who continue to invest in their work environment and culture will be in a better place to recruit the next generation of talent for their company. "Yet new grads aren’t as excited about full-time remote arrangements. Just 11% are interested in that setup, according to LaSalle Network’s March survey of more than 2,500 soon-to-be graduates." #backtotheoffice #commercialrealestate

Expectations from the Grad market are changing - free coffee, bean bags & games consoles in the break room just don't cut it anymore (not sure it ever did to be honest!).
