Meet the extreme digital nomad
The pandemic has supercharged the work-from-home trend, and with it, possibly an extreme type of digital nomad. Economists tell The Wall Street Journal the number of people who work remotely will likely increase from 2% to anywhere between 8 and 10%, and the number of folks traveling while working full-time is likely to go up, as well. Businesses are already catering to this kind of lifestyle: Consider Outsite, a service which offers houses where travelers can rent rooms, but will soon offer a $2,000 monthly option allowing members to move between properties in different cities.
