Many in US 'sheltering' in their jobs
When job-holders were asked about their motivations for staying in their current role, 74% cited some variant of “sheltering in job,” according to LinkedIn’s Workforce Confidence Index. Those responses included collecting a steady paycheck (59%), enjoying a company’s perks and benefits (30%), waiting for a more favorable job market (15%), and having no time or energy to make a switch (14%). Aside from “sheltering-in-job,” other top motivations included truly enjoying the nature of one’s work (47%), applying or growing existing skills (24%), and building more expertise (21%).

Interesting that there's no mention of sheltering in job because of good direct manager/supervisor when it's often been the top reason people move for many years. Was there any questioning along those lines? One thing this points out is that any company used to or dependent upon high flows of candidates looking for them might run into significant turbulence without strong recruitment. Also seems that recruitment of diversity candidates might become even more difficult and nuanced if they're not actively job searching.
