Job offers precede MBAs these days
An MBA is no longer required to secure a job at an elite consultancy — simply having been accepted into a top business-school program might be enough. A fierce competition for talent is leading major consulting firms including Bain & Co. and McKinsey & Co. to offer some 2023 internships to students who won't start school until the fall, reports The Wall Street Journal. And Bain isn't only handing out summer internships to incoming MBAers — some are also being offered full-time jobs to start after they graduate.
- The consultancies “need to staff expanding businesses and are planning on these positions even if the economy sours,” the Journal writes.
