Job offer rescinded? Do this
Some people are reporting that companies are rescinding job offers as employers grow wary about economic uncertainty. The latest edition of #GetHired looks at how people should respond if their job offer is rescinded. Experts suggest:
- Taking a moment before you do anything else.
- Reaching out to professionals on LinkedIn and to your own network — professional and personal.
- Jumping back into the job search, and don’t be afraid to contact your previous employer.
- Incorporating a financial compensation clause in your contract for a job offer being rescinded.

Had a recent experience like that. I was offered position, invited to slack and informed I'd be contacted re specifics for onboarding. Said hi and introduced myself, a few people said hi back and welcome - but nothing about on boarding. When I followed up, i received no reply and the next day no longer had access to the slack channel. I figured treating people like this is not an employment culture I want to be part of, so better happened right away.
