An uptick in demand for people skills is clear. According to LinkedIn data, employers are after communication, leadership and problem-solving. So, how do you work on those? Career coach Reno Perry writes on LinkedIn that job seekers can improve soft skills just like hard skills. He says asking open-ended questions strengthens communication. Active listening boosts your leadership. Making the time to triage tasks helps your overall time management. Also, don't be afraid to leave your comfort zone, Perry says. It builds grit.
