After six months, the dual Hollywood strikes are over. But now what? With the writers' and actors' new contracts estimated to add 10% to the cost of making a show, many worry studios will offset that expense by simply producing less, and doing away with jobs in the process. Even for productions that were already underway when the strikes began, restarting will be tough, adding $500,000 to $4 million to some budgets, The New York Times reports, citing anonymous sources. The strikes are over, but the costs may keep piling up.
