Goldman CEO vows to help ease burnout
In a note to staffers, Goldman Sachs CEO David Solomon has vowed to better protect workers from burnout following the leak of an informal survey by a group of the company's junior analysts, who want their hours capped at 80 per week, from 95. The requests, first reported by Bloomberg, also include more sleep and less "workplace abuse." Other Wall Street banks are taking steps to appease employees:
- Jefferies told its junior bankers they could choose a token of appreciation, ranging from a Peloton bike to Apple products.
- Citibank announced an end to internal Zoom calls on Fridays and said return-to-the office would be a hybrid affair.
