Foster inclusion with everyday action
Creating a safe, welcoming space for our colleagues should always be front of mind. While the thought of managing a big diversity and inclusion campaign could feel overwhelming, The Inclusion Initiative's Grace Lordan and Nikita write that it's often the small actions that are the most impactful. They suggest seven tangible moves to help create an inclusive workplace, including:
- Highlighting contributions from peers who may feel overshadowed by more vocal colleagues
- Using gender-inclusive language and introducing yourself with your own pronouns
- Acting with curiosity, and making connections with colleagues who have different backgrounds to your own
