For some, no 'return' to work
As news coverage of white collar employees' return to the office picks up, there is a sense of resentment among some essential workers for whom there is no return, since they continued working on-site throughout the pandemic. That sentiment was captured in an article published earlier in May by Slate, which shared messages written by frontline workers who expressed a frustration at the attention given to the anxieties of returning office workers.
- "It’s been frustrating to read about people who’ve been able to work from home this entire time and are now acting like returning to the office is their worst nightmare when it’s been my life for a year," one message read.

oof....feeling a little seen in this one ....? being left out of the international narrative of the general population's covid narrative has been isolating at the very least.? The level of stress, fear, anger, resentment, frustration and RISK that countless essential workers have endured this year is really immeasurable and no amount of yard signs, billboards or memes made this past year okay for us.?? As we "return to normal" remember that the essential worker community has had to adapt to a new normal over a year ago that the vast majority of people cannot remotely begin to comprehend what that new normal is like for us.?? it's been our honor to serve and lift up our communities through this incredible ordeal - and we're all still hoping that you will remember and continue to respect the work that we're doing every day.?thanks to all who loved us through this!?
