Finance rewards 'mediocre' men: Rpt
Some women in finance believe their careers have been stonewalled by "mediocre" male managers, according to a study out of the U.K. Researchers found that dozens of women across the financial services sector offered this sentiment, along with the claim these types of managers tend to fake empathy as it's now considered a valuable managerial trait. Women often feel overlooked due to men being the "gatekeepers" of social groups and they have a tendency to "always" be around, while women are more likely to take parental leave.
- If trends continue, Deloitte findings show gender equality in leadership roles in finance may not come until 2085.

I’ve worked in finance and agree. AND - the grass isn’t greener on the other side, it’s a different color and there’s always poop in the yard. Why? Because there are “mediocre male middle managers adept at playing internal politics” there too. ?? Great share Shereen???
