DEI still a priority: Exec survey
The C-suite isn't giving up on DEI. In a new survey by employment law firm Littler, a majority of executives said their companies actually increased diversity, equity and inclusion efforts last year, and more than a third maintained them. Commitment to these programs remains despite the Supreme Court decision in June striking down affirmative action in higher education, which raised concerns that corporate America would face similar challenges. Nearly 60% of executives did indicate that backlash against DEI initiatives has increased since the ruling.

I think the DEI of 2020 needs to be revamped. We are in a critical time where we need to find a way to do DEI that makes it less of checking a box and more about looking at every piece of an organization. Also, the old way of having a single owner of the initiatives just doesn't work. Yes, there should be a leader and guide, but they can't do it alone. And give them the resources to do the job!
