Another Amazon top exec plans exit
Amazon's head of devices, David Limp, will retire before the end of the year. It's "the latest departure of a longstanding top executive" after Andy Jassy took over the CEO reins in 2021. Limp, who has worked with the e-commerce giant for 13 years, is behind such products as the Alexa and Echo devices. The latter has proved less popular. Limp's team was also affected by cost cuts that saw some 27,000 employees lose their jobs. He is the latest member of the "S-Team," the company's senior leadership team, to exit, following "relative stability" before Jassy.

Great observations. Regarding your question as to if the next generation is ready, in my experience the next generation is already doing the work, and, (given the freedom) can imagine and quickly implement better ways of doing things. The only part they’ve been left on the outside of are the enormous financial levers and the off sites and other ways of gathering and “innovating”. Better, healthier business cultures will result when such wealth, status and power aren’t reserved for such a small few.
