Zoom-based icebreakers
- [Narrator] For many people who attend virtual meetings, it can be a little daunting to unmute their mic and participate in the conversation. There are invisible hurdles in place in virtual meetings that aren't there or are at least less present in the meetings where everyone is in the same room. For example, it's more difficult to interject when you're on Zoom because of the slight audio or video delays that might cause you to talk over someone else. It can also be uncomfortable to interject over Zoom when everyone else is in a room together and no one has looked at the screen where the remote employees are. As a meeting leader, consider spending a few minutes at the beginning of the meeting to help everyone get comfortable and chatting on a few non-work related prompts or questions.
