课程: Windows Server 2022: Install and Configure Active Directory

What you should know

- [Instructor] In order to get through this course, I do not have any specific mandatory prerequisites that you must have. I will say that it will be helpful if you already have some level of experience in knowing how to navigate your way through Windows Server 2022. In fact, I would say, even if you have experience with Windows Server 2019 or Windows Server 2016, that would be fine as well. And that's just a matter of being able to navigate through it, so I can discuss the Active Directory side of things with you. Now, as I go through and perform the different demonstrations, I want you to know what my setup is here. Now, you can see on the screen that I have actually a whole bunch of virtual machines, and I want you to ignore most of them. I just want you to focus on the three that I have that say that they're running, which are DC1, DC2, and DC3, okay? Now, even though they have the name DC on these three computers, which stands for domain controller, right now, at this moment, at the start of the course, those three machines are set up with nothing more than a basic installation of Windows Server 2022. And all I've done is named them DC1, DC2, and DC3, just to give them names, and I have configured an IP configuration so that they can communicate on the network and with each other. So if you want to follow along, that's all you'll need, which is three computers or three virtual computers. And in fact, you could really get away with just one machine. Definitely, you can do almost everything. But two machines, you really could do everything. You might have to do some undoing along the way. The third one is literally used for only a single demonstration, okay? So again, these can be either virtual machines or actual physical machines, if you have those available. But beyond that, the only thing you need is to have a basic installation of Windows Server 2022 on those machines, and I will show you everything else from there.
