- [Instructor] So now let's take a look at how to transfer a FSMO role from one domain controller to another. Before showing you this I will mention that it is recommended that you don't do this unless you have something that is specifically motivating you to do so. In other words, it's installed on one domain controller by default and unless there's a very specific reason, like, you know you're going to decommission the machine or maybe that machine is already having some other issues or whatever, it's actually recommended that you leave it alone. But if you do ever have to transfer it let's take a look at how to do it. It's a pretty simple process. So for this demonstration, first of all I want to tell you that I am on DC2.
