- [Instructor] So let's take a look at a basic installation of Windows Server 2022. In order to do this, what we're looking at on the screen here is a virtual machine that I've created. I've named it Windows Server 2022, but it's a blank machine, okay? I've done nothing to this machine. It's newly created, it's empty. And I've put the Windows Server 2022 DVD image into the emulated DVD drive. All right, so let's go ahead and let's turn on the power to this machine. So I'm going to hit start. And it's going to say, press any key to boot from CD or DVD, so I just press the key on my keyboard and give this a moment here and it should go ahead and launch right into the operating system setup. All right, so we have our server operating system setup. The first screen is pretty simple, what language, time and currency format, and keyboard and input method you want.
