- [Instructor] Thin Provisioning allows administrators to add flexibility and redundancy to their storage using Storage Spaces in Windows Server 2019. Storage Spaces works inside Storage Pools, and requires at least one unused disk to be made available for this feature. Let's click on Disks inside Server Manager, and then File and Storage Services. And we see three, 5GB disks that we can use for our new Thin Provision partition. Let's go down to where it says Storage Pools, and we this Primordial Pool that's created by default. And this is only available if you have hard drives that are not currently formatted, but online on your server. If we go back to our disks, we can see we have have these three drives, they are online, the partition is GPT, but they're not yet formatted. And we can tell this at a glance simply by right clicking on the drive and see the New Volume option. So, lets go back to our Storage Pools…
