- Let's talk about audio and let's also talk about how important audio is to your video production or your web series. There's a lot of discussion out there in terms of how important it is. Most people will say at least 50% of the equation. I would probably argue closer to 70 to 80%. And why is that? It's because as an audience, we're used to seeing video in many different ways. In fact, we'll even take incredibly high quality video and degrade it sometimes on purpose to create a certain look or feel. But as soon as you hear a click, a pop, a hiss, as an audience member, you're taken out of story. And when you're taken out of story, you start to anticipate, am I going to hear that click, that pop, or that hiss again? So having good quality audio is essential to your production.
