- This course should have given you all the information you need to get started planning, running, and analyzing all types of card sorts. Incorporating the different types of card sorts into your practice will give you a way to understand how people organize information and receive empirical feedback on the information architecture structures you create. I'd recommend trying a card sort with some friends or colleagues before doing so with live participants. For a fantastic deep dive into card sorting, I recommend Donna Spencer's book Card Sorting: Designing Usable Categories.
