The UI designer's role
- [Narrator] Once the research and wireframing phases and testing are complete, it's time for the design team to take over. So what exactly is UI Design? And its most basic the user interface is what you use to interact with a product. It does this by focusing on the user's visual experience, such as how he or she gets from here to there, and the look and feel of all the elements on the screen. And that also is the role of the UI Designer. The UI Designer falls in love with the user. He or she will use things like design patterns, spacing, and color in order to create a page the user finds intuitive to use. The use of the word intuitive is deliberate because a UI Designer is anticipating every interaction the user will make on a screen, and then design the elements in such a way the user really doesn't stop to think about what he or she is doing.
