The infamous white board
- [Tom] It doesn't always have to start with paper. A giant whiteboard or chalk wall, a couple of markers, and an racer are really all you need to get the concept ideas flowing. The biggest advantage to using a whiteboard is it is one of the more cost effective methods of getting the entire team involved in the UX design process. By the end of the session, everyone involved should be aligned with the project's intent from, it seems, almost from its conception. The great thing about the whiteboard is its size. For example, you could draw a user flow or task flow diagram, which gives the entire team, including the developers, the opportunity to not only participate in the creation process, but also the opportunity to engage deeply in the flow of the project.
