- [Instructor] So how do you build an edge based computing system, leveraging the concept of edge computing. Well let's look at what's new. Keep in mind that with an edge computing we're dealing with the tiered distributed computing system and we've dealt with these architectures in the past but we're not centrally building something on a cloud based environment. In other words, we're distributing the application between the centralized cloud processing and whatever edge device or edge node that we're leveraging. Typically information is going to be stored at the edge, nearest to the data where it's collected or it's going to be on the cloud. And so it's typically going to be widely distributed which means you're going to deal with very heterogeneous data, other things that are going to cause you to have to deal with data complexity.
