Wildcards in selectors
- [Instructor] Wild cards are symbols that enable you to replace zero or multiple characters in a string. This can be quite useful when dealing with dynamically changing attributes in a selector. So we have three wild cards. First one is asterisk and it replaces zero or more characters. And also we have the question mark and it replaces a single character. And we have asterisk and question mark, which matches an attribute value with at least one character. So let's take an example to understand better about wild cards in a selector. So I have this notepad and I want to indicate this text area to type in it. Let's use UI Explorer to indicate, and I will select indicate element, and I will select this element. Once I indicate the ticket area, it give me the selector that I'm working in application notepad. And the title of this notepad is Untitled Notepad, and so on.
