Configure an IMAP server
- [Instructor] Now that I have a server that can receive mail, I'll install Dovecot, the tool that will provide an IMAP service that a client can connect to, to read mail. I'll write out install dovecot-common and dovecot-imapd. The configuration for Dovecot can be complicated. Let's take a look at the configuration files, and make a few changes so we can get mail in a mail client instead of at the command line. I'll change it to the etc/dovecot/conf.d folder. All of these files are included in the primary configuration and they're broken up into pieces to make it easier to manage. The first change I'll make is in the 10-mail file. I write nano 10-mail. Here I'm going to change the mail configuration to match what we had in the postfix setup. I write maildir:~/Mail. Alright, I'll save that, and the next change that I'll make is in the 10-ssl configuration. I'll write, sudo nano 10-ssl.
